And I’m right in the way

I sit on the floor don’t fight no more

And just begin to play

Chorus

My Old Guitar
.................C
My Old Guitar
................................................. G
The handiest friend I’ve ever had by far
........... C............................C7
If you're wondering what I’m doin'
................F.........................D7
When the trouble starts a brewin'
....G ............................C
I'm playing on my old guitar

Now walking one night
Through the starry light
In the land of the ice and snow
I got tapped on the shoulder by something cold
‘n’ furrier than an Eskimo
When I turned around was a darn great bear
Lord was I afraid
I had to stay
Was to nervous to pray
So I sat me down and played….

Chorus

Now back in Tibet
I could never forget
Singing on a Himalayan Hill
There was suddenly a thud and my hot red blood
Slowly began to chill
Have you ever seen a yeti ten foot Tall?
What really could you say?
So I smiled at him
Said 'scuse me please
And then commenced to play....

Chorus

Australia's the place
Where I show my face
Swingin’ my didgeridoo
Well it aint no fun for anyone
Meeting a kangaroo
Well he looked at me as if to say
"Gee I'd like to play with you"
So with a neat little jump
I landed in his pouch
And played him a tune or two on….

Chorus

And then chugging up the Amazon
Friday afternoon
The time about half past three
Well suddenly my boat ceased to be afloat
And something nearly swallowed me
What I thought was a log floating in the bog
Was a crocodile very irate
I was very grieved but so relieved
When he snapped his jaws and ate….

Chorus
